DESCRIPTION

Kukicha is a green tea, the composition of which is entirely formed by twigs and stems of leaves - those parts of tea bushes that we will not find in other teas. Hence its name: "kuki" in Japanese means stem or stick. Kukicha is made on the occasion of the production of other green teas, when the leaf blades are separated from the other elements. Its taste is definitely different: more delicate, sweeter and slightly nutty. Thanks to its low caffeine content, kukicha is great for drinking for children, pregnant women and late in the day. For this reason, it is also, together with hojicha, often recommended tea in the macrobiotic diet. Kukicha also has a high content of relaxing theanine. Theanine in the leaves in the process of photosynthesis turns into tannins, which give a "bitter" aftertaste in tea. Since photosynthesis does not occur In the stems, they have a natural high content of theanine. Moya Kukicha is the highest quality kukicha, which is created in the matcha production process when the leaves and stems are separated from the arena (tea leaf blades - matcha semi-finished product). Unlike ordinary kukicha, it is very gently roasted (much shorter than hojicha). Thanks to this, it acquires a stronger aroma and a darker yellow-brown color.
