GENMAICHA GREEN TEA WITH ORGANIC RICE 60 G

DESCRIPTION

Genmaicha is a high-quality green sencha tea combined with grains of roasted rice ("genmai"). The rice is specially soaked and steamed before it is dried and roasted. The combination of infusion of sencha leaves and rice gives genmaichy a characteristic refreshing, slightly nutty taste, strong aroma and rusty-green color. Genmaicha was for centuries considered in Japan as a drink for the poorest people who could not afford to drink sencha alone. The added rice increased the volume of tea and gave it an additional aroma. Over time, genmaicha became popular among all social strata in Japan, and then all over the world, where it gained the nickname "popcorn tea" (roasted rice grains resembled roasted corn from afar). In Japan, genmaicha is often drunk by monks during long periods of fasting. Due to its relatively low sencha content (50%), it is a tea with a fairly low caffeine content. It is valued for its high content of minerals (magnesium, calcium and potassium). Due to its digestive supportive effect, it is traditionally served with meals.

Tea quantity: 3 g per 250 ml. Brewing time: 2-3 min. Brewing temperature: 70-80 degrees Celsius.
